Gabor PORZSE

As an M.D, ophthalmologist, an economist with a research focus on Science and Innovation Policy, Gabor Porsze was awarded the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship. Porsze studied Management, Science, and Innovation Policy at Imperial College Management School London, and J. F. Kennedy School, Harvard University. He then completed his PhD. in EU Science and Innovation Policy. Porszefounded and directed Hungary’s first center of grants and innovation at Semmelweis University. In 2014, he held the position of ministerial commissioner, deputy state secretary for Science Diplomacy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Porsze is now a strategic consultant for both the national and international, for and non, profit sector, and Professor of Innovation and Science Diplomacy at Semmelweis and Corvinus Universities, Budapest. He developed and initiated Hungary’s first university-based course on Science Diplomacy at Corvinus University of Budapest, in the Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations.
