Jean-Claude Arditti is President of AVRIST, Association pour la Valorisation des Relations Internationales Scientifiques et Techniques, an association founded in 1982 by Science Counselors of French Embassies. AVRIST organizes meetings and lectures on science diplomacy, with the participation of French and foreign practitioners.

Jean-Claude Arditti holds an MSc in Engineering (Diplôme d’ingénieur, Ecole Centrale, Paris), an MSc in Applied Mathematics (UC Berkeley) and a PhD in Mathematics (University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris). He is Member of the Executive Council of the Université franco-italienne and Member of the Governing Body of two competitiveness clusters, SYSTEMATIC and MOVEO- Ile de France. He is involved in the assessment of engineering programs across the EHEA – European Higher Education Area. Arditti was previously Director of international relations of the French school of engineering SUPMECA, Science Counselor to the French Embassies in New Delhi and in Rome, and Director of Scientific Affairs at ITALQUAE (a mineral water company in Rome). He has also acted as coach and consultant for company executives.
