CNRS - Sorbonne Université
Paris, France
The CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) features among the world’s leading research organizations and supplies InsSciDE with first-rate researchers and experts. Together with Sorbonne Université and Panthéon-Sorbonne, the three institutions make up the SIRICE Joint Research Unit, which leads Work Package 10 – Coordination, Management and Quality Assurance.
SIRICE (Sorbonne-Identités, relations internationales et civilisations de l’Europe) applies a comparative and internationalist approach to research on the history of Europe and its contemporary international relations. SIRICE and CNRS researchers contribute to almost all InsSciDE Work Packages through their own or collaborative case studies. In particular, SIRICE is co-elaborating a historically informed theory of European science diplomacy within Work Package 2 – Power with Science Diplomacy (learn more about WP2). With Project Coordinator Pascal Griset as the partner representative, SIRICE advances networking and interface activities directly engaging scientists, technologists, and science diplomats. Léonard Laborie and Christophe Potier-Thomas of CNRS are also part of the Coordination team.
