Christophe POTIER-THOMAS

Internet vanguardist, "field worker" and fosterer of high-tech diplomacy between France, Africa and the world, Christophe Potier-Thomas cares for the well-functioning of H2020 InsSciDE project.

Christophe Potier-Thomas is Secretary General of the Institute of Science Communication (CNRS – Sorbonne Université). Now research engineer at CNRS, he was regional coordinator for Central and Eastern Europe at the University Agency of La Francophonie and then Head of Mission to the Rector’s Office for the Volontariat International programme which organises the sharing of professional skills and competence building across French-speaking nations.

He has been a consultant and expert in creating projects on information and communication technologies for the Hachette Lagardère Foundation in the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean and for other institutions (France telecom, Ville de Paris etc.). He was also winner of the Radio France / Radio Bleue Foundation Award (2001); laureate of the OIF Fonds Francophone des inforoutes (1999 and 2001) ; winner of the 3 Suisses Foundation Award (1998).

Christophe will act as Administrative Head for the InsSciDE Coordination team.
